With the new brand name xMatters, xMatters Incorporation placed that their product xMatters (formerly AlarmPoint) is more than a notification system sending standard messages to few persons in the company. The relevance engines for specific topics were borned. A relevance engine performs mass personalization, processing huge amounts of complex data and delivering different messages to different people – depending on what they need to know, and when they need to know it.

Validation and accountability
xMatters allows certain users to view and others to manage their own profile ensuring contact information is correctly entered, validated, and accurate. Each user has access to view alerts in process, prior alerts, their own schedules and may be allowed to enter temporary shift replacements when out of office. This ability to manage permissions increases the accuracy of every notification.
Accurate scheduling and assignment
Group supervisors no longer need to wait for system administrators to build alert rules and alter schedules. Supervisors have profile control, ability to view and edit team members, build simple or complex groups, assign events, assets or services to their team and build alert rules for each configuration item being managed.

System administrators have an easy to use web-based administration and development environment. Administrators determine system holidays, special schedules, coverage templates, access-levels, user interface and spoken languages, and event to personnel associations.
